Potraits From the Clown Series

Kelly Lynn James

Austin

“These portraits are from an ongoing series about protean Texas professionals who occasionally masquerade as clowns and make a raucous escape into personal anonymity in downtown Austin and other cities. At first the ritual seemed strange, but I think many can relate to the desire to be freed from the limitations of everyday identity for a short while. I plan to continue following them to their haunts around Texas. Send in the clowns!”
