In this episode, we examine the tragic death of Brian Claunch, a Houston man and double amputee who lost the limbs on his left side in a train accident. Claunch was shot and killed by police responding to a call from Claunch’s caretaker at a home for mentally ill people. In response, civil rights groups are calling for a change in the way police officers are trained to handle situations like this. The story has been picked up by news outlets across the nation and the world including The Guardian, The Huffington Post and CNN.
