Eye on Texas: Blessing of the Hands in San Antonio

Along with San Antonio hospitality workers, Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller throws confetti at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church following the annual Blessing of the Hands ceremony in April. The ceremony marks the beginning of the Fiesta San Antonio celebrations. As a photojournalist, I cover a wide variety of events and subjects, but nothing pulls me in quite the way religious rituals do.
