Observer Radio Episode 43: The Privatization of Mexico’s Oil

In this episode of Observer Radio, editor Dave Mann is back with another update on Sen. Wendy Davis’ campaign, and staff writer Emily DePrang weighs in on a recent Justice Department survey that found Harris County Jail has a big problem with sexual abuse.

Shannon Young joins us from Mexico with a story about how that country is opening up PEMEX to private and foreign interests for the first time since 1938. Also, Julia Trigg Crawford, a landowner near Paris, TX, talks to us about her legal battle with TransCanada. Crawford claims the company is abusing eminent domain power by running the Keystone XL pipeline through her land.
