Harris County just posted its early voting results.

State Rep. Kristi Thibaut, who was expected to have a close race against GOP challenger Jim Murphy, lost drastically in the absentee and early voting. With a total of 16,000 votes cast, she’s down 20 points. This race was expected to be competitive

State Rep. Ellen Cohen also lost the early votes by a hefty margin, though not as bad as Kristi Thibaut. She’s down a little over five points, amounting to about 1,500 votes.

There’s still plenty of votes to come in throughout the night, but this first peak doesn’t look for the Ds.
