State of Texas: Who We Kill

We essentially kill men. The average age is 40 at the time they are executed. Almost 70 percent of them are black or Hispanic. Most of them spent about 10 years in various stages of a solitary, mentally excruciating and physically debilitating existence prior to their execution.
