Dept. of Corrections

Dave Mann

As a newspaper geek, I’ve always loved reading the corrections column (don’t ask).

So I’m starting a new feature here in which I’ll highlight funny or revealing newspaper mistakes from around the country and how (or if) they set the record straight.

It’s only Monday, but we already have our blue ribbon winner for the week.

From the Los Angeles Times:

TV listings: The Prime-Time TV grid in Thursday’s Calendar section mistakenly listed MTV’s “Jackass” show on the MSNBC cable schedule at 7 and 10 p.m. where instead MSNBC’s “Countdown With Keith Olbermann” should have been listed.”

Do you think free access to journalism like this is important?
