Nor does the quick blunt hurt of knowledge touch me as the private flies from near Phu Bai right through the door of light; surprised, robbed of his privacy, he dies too far away. The dreams he won last night are really lost, ruined in the quiet flare of shorting circuitry inside his head, and I remain unravaged.
