T.O. on the Teevee: Drought, Wildfires and Climate

by

Here at the Texas Observer, we can thank Rick Perry for one thing: His presidential ambitions have brought our esteemed publication more attention from the national media. While we don’t always enjoy explaining GoodHair to the rest of the nation, it’s also an opportunity to talk about some of the things near and dear to our hearts as reporters and citizens. For me, as an environmental reporter, this has been a chance to talk about the wildfires, drought and the connection to climate change on a national platform.

Amy Goodman and Juan Gonzalez had me on Democracy Now! last week to talk about the drought.

I also was interviewed by Austin’s The Butler Bros. for a small spot in the Climate Reality Project, a “worldwide event to broadcast the reality of the climate crisis” that wrapped up yesterday.
