The Texas Observer Archiving Project Needs Volunteers

Help us turn these dusty print archives into a digital archive everyone can read.

Help us turn these dusty print archives into a digital archive everyone can read.

We’re working hard to complete The Texas Observer’s online archive. When it’s finished, issues stretching back to the Observer’s inception in 1954 will be available for free to anyone who wants to read them. But we can’t complete this project without asking for your help one more time.

What we need is a few dedicated volunteers to assist with indexing past issues of the magazine. As an indexer, you’ll work from home reading past issues and entering information from them into an online form. Indexing is ideal for volunteers interested in digging into past issues and organizing key information.  To volunteer, please contact Michelle Andrews [email protected].

Thanks for supporting The Texas Observer.
