Eye On Texas: Immigrants as Trump

Eye On Texas: Immigrants as Trump

Verónica G. Cárdenas

Immigrants are feeling scared and uncertain since the election of Donald Trump. The president and his supporters don’t see them as individuals, but as a faceless mass of “bad hombres.” I shot a photo series of mostly undocumented immigrants wearing Trump masks in the Rio Grande Valley and in Tamaulipas, Mexico, to play with this notion. In this shot, a Trump jogs along the border outside Donna.
