LABOR DAY 1994 Labor Day is a call for Americans to rededicate their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to the common welfare. Labor Day also summons us to renew our conviction that. America means the building here of a human fellowship without social, political or economic restrictions without ghettoes without fears without hopelessness, but with “liberty and justice for all,” as the Pledge of Allegiance proclaims.
