Buy All Your Books From the Observer I of the subcommittee of the Michigan legislature connected with the study, said it showed the need for a “total re-evaluation and reform of our drug control laws.” Do we have any legislators in Texas with that much guts? We shall see. Save Our Rivers The Texas water plan of the Texas Water Development Board, produced in November, proposes to dam the Blanco river at Cloptin Crossing. This plan has been in the works several years and has excited the usual support from realtors and retired people in the region. However, some local people are opposed. A dam at Cloptin Crossing would turn one of the prettiest pristine stretches of Texas river valley into just another lake. With some of the landowners opposed to the lake, why not turn this valley into a state park? A new concept of the state park along a river valley should be established in Texas.
