Daniel and Wilson Lead Spending Race AUSTIN Price Daniel and Will Wilson continue to hold a wide margin over their opponents in both campaign contributions and expenditures, according to the last statements filed in the Secretary of State’s office. Daniel has received contributions totaling $184,439 for the campaign and had spent $187,122. Ralph Yarborough, reported receiving $104,638 in gifts and spending $109,213. Torn Moore, seeking election as attorney general, reported gifts of $11,364, debts of $2,242 and expenditures of $11,184. Wilson, the other runoff candidate in the Attorney General race, filed late. But as of the July 20 filing period he already had far outspent Moore’s total with expenditures listed at $54,162. Lt. Gov. Ben Ramsey reported gifts of $49,820 and expenditures of $49,602. The top gifts given Yarborough included $1,000 each from J. E. Williamson of Midland, J. R. Parten of Houston, W. J. Worsham of Pecos and W. D. Gray of Houston.
