“I’ve lived most of my life in Dallas but my family is all from East Texas. The differences in our lives and environment are fascinating and I’ve been photographing both the personal and incredible found scenes–like this goat in his yard–for several years. I find a unique sweetness in the images, though I fear that big-box stores and homogenization will soon make East Texas look like everywhere else.” See more of Keasler’s work at
