December 7, 2018 Barbecue
Date: December 7, 2018
Location: Texas Observer offices, 54 Chicon St., Austin 78702
Time: Starts at 6 p.m.
The Texas Observer staff invites you to join us for our holiday BBQ on Friday, December 7 at 6 p.m. This time ‘round, we’ll be hosting folks here, at our offices in east Austin, where you’ll get an opportunity to see where the work of our reporters and editors is done (and maybe take a picture with our life-size Molly Ivins cut-out).
Last year’s event was a blast, and we’d love cement this tradition with a great second year. Frankly, we can’t think of a better way to bring good friends together to celebrate this festive time of year—and, of course, the Texas Observer’s brand of muckraking investigative reporting.
Tickets are $150 per person and include Micklethwait BBQ dinner and beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic).
All proceeds from the evening go back to fund the Observer’s award-winning investigative reporting. As we continue to face increasing aggression by an administration that’s openly hostile to the media, our brand of public interest journalism has never been more critical for Texas and its citizens.
