With Texas hurting for cash, it would be wise to keep the state out of court on legislation that is clearly unconstitutional. Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott can put the kibosh on such bills, but will he do it? Today on KUT he said his office has been studying up on Arizona’s lengthy court drama after its contentious immigration legislation passed. According to Abbott, anything regarding the state’s enforcement of immigration is okay. Anything that interferes with federal authority in regulating immigration is off the table.
