“I have killed many Mexicans; I do not know how many, for frequently I did not count them. Some of them were not worth counting. It has been a long time since then, but still I have no love for the Mexicans. With me they were always treacherous and malicious.”

    – Geronimo, My Life: The Autobiography of Geronimo, 1905.

There were hundreds of Second Amendment enthusiasts gathered at San Antonio’s Alamo Plaza on Saturday, October 19th, many carrying loaded rifles and assault weapons to the public square. They stood before one of the most revered sites in Texas to protest what they see as unconstitutional curbs on displaying weapons in public.

The highest-profile speakers at the event were current land commissioner and lieutenant governor candidate Jerry Patterson, who carries a handgun in his boot, and conspiracy purveyor Alex Jones, an assault rifle on his back.

Watch a condensed version of Jones' speech in this video and read reporter Christopher Hooks' account of the day at https://www.texasobserver.org/alamo-protesters-get-arms/.
