Building the Border Wall: Once slated for destruction, 74-year-old Daniel Garza's home was saved when Hidalgo County made a deal with the Department of Homeland Security to build a combination levee/border wall that will reach a height of 18 feet. The fence now under construction will tower over Garza's backyard.
