On Second Thought….

It appears, ahem, that we may have jinxed the mighty Islanders of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. We’re getting unconfirmed reports at this hour that TAMCC has, in fact, lost to Wisconsin in the first round of the NCAA Tournament — just as our colleague Matt Wright predicted they would.

The Islanders led by as many as 16 points in the first half, and it looked like they might pull off one of the great upsets in tourney history. But they fell apart down the stretch and lost 76-63, at least according reports from some TV outfit called “CBS.”

Kudos to the Islanders anyway. And, for the record, we still don’t think Wright knows what the Hell he’s talking about.
